I have had the pleasure of working with Mark Ridley-Thomas since 1995. He is tireless. I have been amazed over the years by his dedicated service to Los Angeles. He has addressed divisive issues like, the Civil Unrest and the Donovan Jackson beating with creative programs like Days of Dialogue, the Empowerment Congress and the African American Voter Project; believing that involvement in the process leads to solutions.
From city hall to the state capital, Mark Ridley-Thomas has been committed to involving citizens in the process.
I don't consider myself to be a political animal, but I have been involved in Los Angeles politics because I like Mark Ridley-Thomas. I have certainly learned a lot as a photographer from working on so many high energy projects with him. The first press conference with world-wide media was a real eye-opener. I don't know much, but I do know a home-run... slam dunk... and real leadership.
I encourage everyone in the 2nd District to visit the polls on Tuesday, November 4 and to vote for my friend, Mark.
